Dimitris Gketsis (b. Athens), graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts and then obtained an MA in sculpture at Royal College of Art in London. In 2014, alongside his studies at ASFA, he was studying under the tutelage of Klasse Olaf Nicolai at the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste in Munich. Dimitris Gketsis was one of the invited artists for the OMMU residency/Anime cybertron Fest in Tokyo, Japan in 2017 and in 2016 at Art motile Artist-in-Residence program in Madrid. He is also a cofounder of the art collective Hyperlink Athens. Recently, he participated in various group exhibitions. Gketsis has also collaborated with Sergio Zevallos for the project War Machine for documenta 14.

It Made me fall in Love with Them unveils the story of a warrior - a role influenced by video games and online characters - revealing what was before and after the body, its presence and ultimately its absence by the index of his presence. While everything is suspended by a fine line and the relationship of materials is balanced by partially filled bottles of water, the installation conveys emotional and psychological anxiety tensions. The sensitive and the imperceptible dominate the atmosphere. We enter a new world, where landmarks are blurred, where cultural references and symbols (clothing, flag, weapons, cans, tattoos, etc.) are revealed.
