In collaboration with Chromatic, the Village presents the first retrospective in the world of TOILETPAPER by internationally renowned artists Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari as part of Aires Libres 2019. The exhibition, organized under the curatorial direction of Nicolas Denicourt, is accessible free of charge 7 days a week, 24 hours a day until May 2020 at Galerie Blanc in Montreal.
TOILETPAPER is an artist magazine created and produced by Maurizio Cattelan, a leading figure in international contemporary art known for his taste for humour and provocation, and Pierpaolo Ferrari, a famous photographer and artistic director. Since the first issue of TOILETPAPER was published in 2010, Cattelan and Ferrari have created an offbeat and audacious universe where ambiguous stories and disturbing imagination are presented, combining commercial photography with a surrealist visual approach.
